The Sadie Hawkin’s Ball & Literary Brothel was a great success! We blew up a shit ton of balloons, ate much candy, met neighbors, blasted hip hop and danced like we were in a club (which attracted the neighbors, and I am quite glad it did, as come to find out, we have some good-looking neighbors…)
We are currently taking submissions for LIMINAL’s December Showcase: Baring & Breaking. Interpret as you will, within the larger context of Feminism\Womanism. (Baring it all? Baring your teeth? Baring witness? Breaking the cycle? Breaking open? Breaking some fool’s head?)
Send 10 minutes of performance\reading\singing\music playing\live art to firstname.lastname@example.org to be considered. Please be available from 7-10PM on the 5th of December.

Brenda Usher-Carpino’s Art of the Dramatic Dialogue Workshop is halfway through. I have now confirmed that writing just dialogue is as hard for me as I suspected it might be, but Brenda is a patient and thorough teacher. The tentative plan is to have students read their scenes at the showcase on December 5th. Stay tuned for details…
Also in December…A Holiday Letter-Writing Workshop with Gutwrench Press…dates TBA…December 12, LIMINAL founder, Gina Goldblatt will be at East Bay Alternative Book & Zine Fest during the day and performing in an Aerial Silks show at Aerial Artique in SF that night.
